 • Swimwear
 • Two towels: one for the sauna and one for drying off after the ice baths (we do offer a towel service for £4, but would recommend bringing your own).
 • Sliders or flip flops
 • A water bottle
 • A plastic bag for wet belongings
 • Optional: bathrobe
 • Optional: sauna hat

How can I book a sauna session?

Accepted Answer

Bookings can be made through our website/mobile app, or by calling reception. We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, and by using the app which is seamless.

Can I still join a session if you are fully booked?

Accepted Answer

If there are no sessions available for the time you wish to come, please feel free to call us in-case there are 'no shows'.
We also encourage walk-ins but strongly advise booking or calling in advance.

Sauna Etiquette

Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience, with cleanliness being a top priority. To ensure this, we require the use of towels in all saunas, placing both bottom and feet on a towel, and mandate showers between transitions to ice baths. This will help maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.

Please ensure to respect other users, and keep noise levels down when in groups, as this can disturb everyone else's experience.

Please be kind and courteous to all users, and close (not slam) doors behind you.

We offer full wheelchair access, including a ground floor lift and a dedicated toilet with integrated showers. Please inform us in advance so we can assist with guidance. For access to ice baths, our team members or your care assistant are available to help.

Lockers/Security

Accepted Answer

Lockers in the changing rooms require a round token (similar to a one-pound coin) and are secured with a key. For high-value items you prefer not to leave in the lockers, please ask to store them behind the reception.

Cancellations

Accepted Answer

To protect our staff and cover running costs, cancellations must be made 12 hours before your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at your earliest convenience, and we will do what we can to assist. Please note that Pay-as-you-go sessions, if cancelled, are not entitled to a refund.

Age Restrictions

Yes, guests must be at least 18 years old to use our facilities. Minors aged 16-17 may visit with a guardian present.

If you have any underlying health conditions, please consult with your doctor before using our sauna and cold plunge. Guests with certain medical conditions may be advised against using these facilities.

If you're cycling, designated cycle stations are available along the promenade where you can secure your bicycle. Please note that bicycles are left at your own risk, and we do not accept responsibility for their security.

Parking is restricted, so please pay attention to the signs where you park to avoid any fines.
Parking is free on Downs Road before 08:30 and after 18:30 Monday to Saturday.

A: We aim to minimise the use of harsh chemicals like chlorine and bromine to prevent skin irritation. Instead, we use gentle, minimal chemicals to keep the water clean while providing a better user experience.

Q: How often is the water changed?
A: The water is changed weekly at a minimum, with adjustments based on usage levels to maintain optimal hygiene.

Q: What other steps do you take to maintain water quality?
A: In addition to regular water changes, we conduct routine backwashing to remove impurities and keep the filtration system functioning efficiently.

Q: How can I help keep the ice bath clean?
